Send a message to the person who requested a photo of the grave monument of Isaac Easton with the following comment:

I am writing our family history and have discovered the link with Cawston. Isaac Easton and Elizabeth nee Walpole were the parents of Ann born 1808 in Cawston, who married Johnston Need in 1834 at Bixley, Norfolk and migrated to Hobart, Tasmania in 1835. So, they are my direct ancestors, even though I live in Sydney Australia. Ann had seven children but died in 1849 only four months after the birth of her last child. Johnston returned from Tasmania in 1850 to Cawston and married Ann's elder sister, Elizabeth Easton, to look after the children. I am happy to supply more information if this is useful. Isaac was the publican at the Woodrow Inn from 1836-1856. The family in Australia believes that Johnston Need was sent to the Cawston area to learn about farming and that is how he met Ann Easton. Johnston's father was Lieutenant General Samuel Need of Fountain Dale, Blidworth, Nottingham. I have found that it is possible that the Woodrow Inn also had about 70 acres of land and would like to know some more local history. We have family letters to Johnston addressed to Woodrow Farm in 1857. Regards, Pat Silman
